Program Includes Works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Juilliard Student Tyson Davis
NEW YORK, October 20, 2023——标志性的小提琴家 伊扎克帕尔曼 (Pre-College ’63; ’68; faculty 1999-present) will join the Juilliard 弦乐四重奏 (JSQ) 12月6日星期三 at Alice Tully Hall as part of Juilliard’s Daniel Saidenberg Faculty Recital Series.
The JSQ’s recital opens with Beethoven’s 弦乐四重奏 No. F大调16调. It continues with the New York premiere of Two Fragments from 无定形的数据 (2022) by American composer and Juilliard composition master’s student Tyson Davis (BM ’23). Perlman and the JSQ perform Brahms’ String Quintet in G Major to close the evening’s program.
JSQ, Juilliard’s resident string quartet, includes violinists Areta Zhulla (Pre-College ’04; BM ’08, MM ’10) and Ronald Copes, violist Molly Carr (BM ’09, MM ’11), and cellist Astrid Schween (Pre-College ’80; BM ’84, MM ’85). All are Juilliard string and chamber music faculty members.
